A few months ago, I noticed a trend of visitors to my Understand Your Dreams web site. At that time, I noticed several people wanting to know about dreams involving flat tires on cars. If you want to read that article, click here.

I've noticed another common theme of visitor to my web site over the past few months. This theme involves mountain lions in dreams. How interesting! I've interpreted dreams for years, but this is one that sort of surprised me.

Animals in dreams represent some type of habitual or compulsive thought. Since this is a more ferocious animal, this indicates some type of more ferocious or overwhelming habit.

When we look back on the flat tire dream, which means that the physical body (symbolized by a car) is not as mobile. I noticed the flat tire dream occurring right after the holidays, and actually, that type of dream made perfect sense on a collective consciousness level. During the holidays we have a tendency to overindulge, especially on sugar, which greatly compromises the immune system and our ability to fight off illnesses.

So now on the collective consciousness level, we are facing a habit that is more dominating in the lives of many dreamers. What that habit is specifically is anyone's guess, but it does point out a need for the dreamer to address what the habit is since it has gotten to the stage (versus the stage of a little kitten, for example).

I have seen in my own life when I have let habits go unchecked and give little attention to them, then it would indicated I had a habit that was out of control. Thus, I might have a dream of a mountain lion, or a bear or some similar large creature.

For me, it is always a wake-up call. Dreams do help wake us up many times. And for that I am always grateful. The mind is a very powerful tool. So when we learn to direct our thoughts in a positive, the outcome in our lives will be positive.
